Well the city of Cincinnati agrees with youThe Cincinnati Park Board is giving away a free tree to residents.Under the program, residents can get one free tree if they pick it up, plant it and follow other guidelinesTrees must be planted within 30 feet of the right-of-way or visible from the street the resident lives on.Trees should not be planted where they will harm wires, utilities or other structures when they are grown.Forestry staff will inspect each planting location before approving a request for a free tree and will look at the location after the resident has planted the tree.A high priority is given to planting trees on private property along streets the Park Board cannot plant due to narrow right-of-ways, according to the citys website.
